Meet Nic of Nic Danning Jewellery – ethical jewellery handmade in Cornwall.
Hi, I’m Nic, founder of the Nic Danning Jewellery studio.
I’m a proud dyslexic, ex historical costumier, ancient history fanatic, mother, bookworm and nature lover. I began making jewellery when my son was born; the designs have grown organically, like the natural world they are inspired by, and our jewellery is now made by a small team of working parents.
Our jewellery is inspired by ancient art and designed for modern living. The collection is crafted by empowered hands, thoughtfully made using planet friendly materials, and is proudly plastic free. All our jewellery is made from our studio on the Helford, in beautiful South Cornwall.
We are loved for our lightweight, timeless designs, full of warmth and sparkle. Our bestselling styles feature fine filigree detailed wings, statement botanical fronds, sparkling silver moons and draw inspiration from the beauty of nature and the textures of ancient jewellery. Our raw brass and stainless steel designs are hand beaten on a series of weathered, antique anvils, giving them a unique and shimmering texture.
We choose our materials and processes based on their longevity, durability and impact on the planet. Stainless steel can be endlessly recycled, and is considered one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly metals in common use. Our hand beaded designs use reclaimed silk (never nylon), conditioned with local beeswax. Alternatively, organic cotton is available as a vegan option.
Our earrings come beautifully wrapped in tissue paper, tied with twine and posted using recyclable, plastic free packaging. Ready to gift and the ideal size to pop straight through the letterbox.
When you shop with us, you support an independent business and a team of happy humans and their families. You can find us at our local Farmers Market in Constantine each month as well as on Not On The High Street, Etsy and we will be launching our own website in the new year – watch this space!
