I make beautifully hand engraved glass homeware and jewellery. Each piece is unique and you can also add a personalisation or request a custom order.
I launched The Corbeau Press in 2017 as a creative outlet for my designs, prints and cards. The name comes from my married name, Corbet and its French origin for the word crow; Corbeau.
I studied fine art at Bath Spa University before moving to Bristol where I work from a little corner of BV studios in Bedminster.
I found the technique of glass engraving whilst experimenting with drawing techniques, I have developed my skill through trial and error. I started glass engraving as a way to explore and experiment with drawing as a process and I have been totally captivated with the technique ever since. I am inspired by nature and love the intricate lines and details of leaves and feathers. I find inspiration in the poetic resonance of these objects and the personal stories of peoples experience of the landscape. I aim for each piece of glass to express the tranquil beauty.
