Handmade organic, plastic free, sustainable hair scrunchies, with biodegradable elastic and plantable packaging.
Originally from Ireland but now living in Bristol, Ailbhe Ní Chaoimh (pronounced Alva Knee Queeve) is the woman behind Sew The Seed, which is her new small brand having only launched in October 2021.
Ailbhe creates everything from the fabric designs, to the last stitch on the scrunchies, with a love and passion for creativity, sustainability and a care for our planet. The fabric, down to the thread used is made from organic and natural materials. The elastic is biodegradable, with no plastic in sight, and the fabric is also printed with eco-friendly inks requiring no water.
The tags on the scrunchies are made from paper embedded with wildflower seeds, so you can plant these and give back to the earth in a small but beautiful way!
